Hat Trick

Hat trick was first recorded in print in the 1870s, but has since been widened to apply to any sport in which the person competing carries off some feat three times in quick succession, such as scoring three goals in one game of soccer.

Some "feet"!
That's what I say.
Sis went full force into her game Saturday morning. Final score Warriors 2 - JB 5. Of those 5, 3 came courtesy of her right foot. Right on!
We are very proud. Coach is very proud. Most importantly, she is very proud. Here she is wearing her hat trick hat with pride. Thanks Coach Steve! While the competitive nature in me loves that her team won, the Mom in me loves that she loves it and that she is coached by two fantastic coaches. Coaches that celebrate what it is really all about, having fun and doing your best.

Thank you!

The happy thoughts of snow provided us with some winter fun this past weekend. It was like Christmas Saturday morning as Em looked out the window and RAN to our room to report it was "WHITE". The single digit temps deterred the little one and I from venturing out Saturday, that and the fact that she had no interest in the required "bundling up" with accessories that "do not match". By Sunday afternoon, the temp was in the teens. Amazing what 10 degrees can do. She was ready to do some "sliding" and "frow some snowedballs". As we bundled she let me know, "This does not match, but that is OK". Good to know who's running the show here. As you can see, once we made it outside, it was happy times. I know there can be too much of a good thing, but this time we got just the good thing, and I LOVED IT!

Think SNOW!

Please just think happy, playful, snow thoughts for us. It has been far too long. We do not need a repeat of 3 years ago. Just light, puffy, fun to throw, sled and make snowmen SNOW!!!

Can you say TARGET MARKET!

That is us, my friends.
It started with my beloved Nextel commercial.
Then, the return of all things preppy.
Now, Verizon Wireless has targetted us! It's urgent!
I'll be back with the link.

Remember when we were the young end of the 18 to 30 something market. We laughed at the "Whazz up" and Budweiser frog commercials in college. We cried with the Johnsons baby commercials as we started families of our own. Now they are making us take the trip. The trip that "old" people take, down Memory Lane. Enjoy it while we can.

IZOD

That's what it said on the front of the JCPenney ad today.
Do you know what that means?

It means that we have lived through a revival of 60's, 70's and even bad 80's fashion (yes, I actually saw someone with leg warmers) and we are preparing for the revival of THE PREPPY ERA!!! Now some may found this unappealing, but not I! Those of you who know, and love me, KNOW that this is my era. The ad showed polos with collars up, underneath oxford cloth shirts. Also polos layered over one another, again, collars up.

Then, as I looked through the Kohl's ad,
I found an almost exact replica of one of my first purses.
A canvas bag with bamboo handles and embroidered whales, or maybe turtles, some type of nautical creature, VERY PREPPY.
Maybe I need to reconsider my bermudas!! And anyone know a place I can get my sweaters monogrammed.
